Job Context

Kaniz Garments Ltd, a reputed 100% export-oriented Woven Garments factory is looking for a talented, experienced, dynamic, potential candidate as Manager, Sample & CAD for its factory located at Tejgaon Industrial Area, Dhaka. The person will be responsible for maintaining & developing Sample schedules, operational guidelines, procedure & practice. Maintaining various reports and preferring relevant documentation systemically.

Job Responsibilities

  • To run the operation of CAD & Sample Section with more than 30 people and supervise the work of junior staff & operators;
  • Ensure timely pattern or sample making with lectra software;
  • Understand customer concept and idea to develop new product;
  • Develop, implement and monitor Sample and CAD design standards & procedures to meet customer needs;
  • Prepare the right sample at the right time to meet the buyer expectation;
  • Ensure sample approval rate as per KPI;
  • Design or direct pattern making manually and electronically (Lectra, Investronica);
  • Provide guidance and direction to CAD team to ensure operational & technical excellence;
  • Supervise pattern correction and Provide Technical Support where necessary during sample development & production;
  • Ensuring cost reduction by reducing all kind of process loss & wastage like rejection;
  • Responsible for pattern direction, fabric selection, proto and tech packs preparation as per instruction of buyers
  • Communicate and Coordinate with the associates (Sample making, Cutting, merchandisers, technicians, seniors) and suppliers to reach the best consumption with quality and efficiency;
  • Support and advise the team to find the best solution to reduce fabric wastage and to achieve maximum fabric use;
  • Digitizing the patterns (given by the pattern maker), carrying out alterations, adjustments, and grading as per instructions;
  • KPI:
  • 98 % 1st sample approval
  • 100% on time delivery
  • 100% Sample approval

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in any discipline, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile
  • Training/ Trade Course: CAD,Lectra,3D
  • Skills Required: CAD and Consumption, Product Development, Sample Making, Sample Section Management, woven Garments

Experience Requirements

  • At least 10 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
    • CAD and Consumption, Product Development, Sample Making, Sample Section Management, woven Garments

 

  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    • Garments, Textile

 

Additional Requirements

  • Age Na
  • Sound knowledge in Woven & sample making with Lectra software;
  • Sound knowledge in fabrics, accessories, trims, fashion trends, fashionable wash (if necessary), etc;
  • Leadership Approach;
  • Has to be up to date with the current trend of this industries;
  • Strong creative vision;
  • Applicant should be self -motivated & honest;
  • Ability to handle the workload and manage multiple tasks at a time under stressed environment;
  • Problem Solving skills and Analysis;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with people.
